Fortune Municipal Planning Area
Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Fortune Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING
Beginning at a point, that point being a concrete monument located at the highwater mark in
Then in a generally southeasterly direction a distance of 825 metres, more or less, to a concrete monument located on Boundary Hill; Then in a generally southerly direction a distance of 1,650 metres, more or less, to a grouted steel pipe located on Round Hill; Then in a generally southerly direction a distance of 15,550 metres, more or less, to the highest elevation of Salmonier Lookout; Then in a generally northwesterly direction a distance of 11,500 metres to the highest elevation of Middle Ridge being also on a common boundary with the Community of Point May; Then following a common boundary with Point May north 45° west a distance of 2,750 metres; Then continuing along the Point May - Fortune boundary south 63° west a distance of 1,750 metres to the highest elevation of LeBeach Hill; Then continuing along the common boundary north 9° east a distance of 1,200 metres, more or less, to a point at the mouth of a small brook which empties into LeBeach Cove; Then following the shoreline in a generally northeasterly direction to the point of beginning.
