CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 886/96

Ming's Bight Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Ming's Bight Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point, that point being the highwater mark on the southern shoreline of Ming's Bight and more specifically having co?ordinates north 5 537 100 metres and east 570 900 metres;

Then due south a distance of 1,250 metres, more or less, to the summit of an unnamed hill;

Then south 56° 00' west a distance of 4,970 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the easternmost tip of Kidney Pond;

Then due west a distance of 1,040 metres, more or less, to the Baie Verte Municipal Planning Area boundary;

Then along that boundary in a general northerly direction to a point, that point bearing north 24° 00' west a distance of 2,700 metres, more or less, from the easternmost tip of Kidney Pond and more specifically having co-ordinates north 5 535 550 metres and east 565 660 metres;

Then due north a distance of 1,600 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the westernmost tip of an unnamed pond in Green Cove Brook;

Then north 73° 00' east a distance of 3,260 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the summit of an unnamed hill;

Then due east a distance of 900 metres, more or less, to the highwater mark on the western shoreline of Ming's Bight;

Then in a generally southerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline at the highwater mark of Ming's Bight passing South Brook to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances and co-ordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, 1985 edition.
