CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 892/96

Norris Point Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Norris Point Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at the coastal tip of Wigwam Point on the northern side of Bonne Bay and then along a line of demarcation with the Rocky Harbour Municipal Planning Area running perpendicularly northeastward to and then northwestward along a western line parallel to and 150 metres from the centre line of the Norris Point/Rocky Harbour realigned highway to its intersection with a link road off Viking Trail, and along a northern line parallel to and 100 metres from the centre line of the link highway and its projection running northeastwardly to the boundary of the Gros Morne National Park;

Then along a line of demarcation with the national park, Regional Surveyor Plan No. 82?14, south 84° 51' 34" east to Iron Post No. 204?1, south 11° 03' 02" east 238.544 metres to Iron Post No. 203?1, south 09° 36' 02" east 1,816.514 metres to Iron Post No. 202?1, south 07° 29' 10" west 914.290 metres to Iron Post No. 7-1, south 07° 29' 34" west 1,138.869 metres to Iron Post No. 2101 at co?ordinates 5 487 529.294 north and 351 393.795 east, south 07° 29' 34" west to the shoreline of Deer Arm;

Then following the shoreline southwestward via Shoal Point to and then along the shoreline of Neddy Harbour and the peninsula of Norris Point via Norris Cove, Sandy Cove and Deckers Cove to Wild Cove Head;

Then following the coastline of Bonne Bay generally northwestward via Wild Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings and co-ordinates refer to the 3° modified T.M. grid, central meridian 58° 30' west longitude.
