CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 1042/96

Codroy Valley Beach Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Codroy Valley Beach Provincial Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 191/85, is repealed.

Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being near Codroy in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point, that point being distant 566.36 metres as measured on a bearing of south 5° 22' 54" east from the southeast angle of land granted by the Crown to Lewis McArthur and registered in Volume 44, Folio 136 in the Registry of Crown Grants;

Then running by land granted by the Crown to Alex Gale or assigns and registered in Volume 44, Folio 138 in the Registry of Crown Grants south 62° 21' 07" west 169.77 metres, and then south 70° 08' 42" west 94.18 metres, and then north 62° 14' 10" west 141.26 metres, and then north 71° 03' 37" west 79.35 metres, and then north 29° 54' 29" west 62.36 metres, more or less;

Then running by that land being the limit of the reservation, 10 metres wide, extending along the shoreline of a pond to a point being distant 124.15 metres as measured on a bearing of north 32° 32' 31" east from the last mentioned point, and then to a point being distant 91.08 metres as measured on a bearing of north 54° 23' 29" west from the last mentioned point, and then to a point being distant 128.64 metres as measured on a bearing of south 44° 15' 56" west from the last mentioned point, and then to a point being distant 67.52 metres as measured on a bearing of south 3° 06' 16" west from the last mentioned point;

Then running by that land south 3° 06' 16" west 22.48 metres, more or less;

Then running along the northeasterly shoreline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence at low water in a general southeasterly direction to a point in the westerly shoreline of the gut (Bailey Bridge );

Then running along the southwesterly bank of Grand Codroy River at low water in a general northwesterly direction to a point in that bank of Grand Codroy River ;

Then running by that land granted by the Crown to Alex Gale or assigns south 62° 21' 07" west 94 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning;

Reserving nevertheless out of the above described piece or parcel of land Route 406, 30 metres wide, extending between Millville and Searston, the above described piece or parcel of land containing an area of 24.6 hectares, more or less.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
