Profile

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, PC, (BSc) MHA hails from, and proudly represents, the District of Corner Brook. First elected to the House of Commons on March 25, 1996, he was re-elected six consecutive times, serving in many roles including Federal Cabinet Minister. First elected as MHA for Corner Brook on November 30, 2015 and re-elected on May 16, 2019 and again on March 27, 2021, Mr. Byrne previously served as Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour and Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources. A graduate of Dalhousie University,Gerry is married to Denise Gibbons and they have one son, Gerald Stephen.
