EXPLANATORY NOTE The purpose of this Bill is to repeal subsection 4(4) of the Shops' Closing Act that would, if it remained in force, have the Memorial and Canada Day holiday take place on July 2 when July 1 falls on a Sunday.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE SHOPS' CLOSING ACT Analysis 1. S.4 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN1990 cS-15 as amended 1. Subsection 4(4) of the Shops' Closing Act is repealed.
