Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the House of Assembly Act.

Definition

2. In this Act "committee" means a standing or select committee of the House of Assembly.

Duration of House of Assembly

3. The House of Assembly shall continue, notwithstanding the demise of the Crown, for 5 years from the day on which it shall by proclamation be appointed to meet, unless sooner dissolved, and no longer.

4. (1) The House of Assembly shall consist of 52 members.

(2) A quorum of the House of Assembly is 14 members.

Power to establish rules

6. (1) The House of Assembly may establish rules for its government and the attendance of its members and the conduct of its business, and for limiting the length of time that members may speak, and may alter, amend and repeal those rules.

(2) A rule established under subsection (1) shall not be altered, amended or repealed except by a vote of 2/3 of the members of the House of Assembly.

(3) Except as provided in this section, a rule or order or anything in this Act shall not, or shall not be construed to, limit or restrict the liberty and privilege of speech or debate of the House of Assembly, or a right or privilege of the House of Assembly now existing.

Privileges of House of Assembly

7. Upon an inquiry touching the privileges, immunities or powers of the House of Assembly, or a committee or member of the House of Assembly, respectively, a copy of the journals of the House of Assembly, printed or purporting to be printed by the order of the House of Assembly, shall be admitted as, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, evidence of those journals by all courts, justices and others, without proof being given that that copy was so printed.

Examination of witnesses

8. The House of Assembly or a committee may require that facts, matters and things relating to the subject of inquiry before the House of Assembly or that committee be verified or otherwise ascertained by the oral examination of witnesses, and may examine those witnesses upon oath or affirmation; and for that purpose the speaker or clerk of the House of Assembly, or the chairperson or clerk of that committee, may administer an oath or affirmation in the following form, or to the same effect, to a witness:

"The evidence I shall give to the House of Assembly (or committee) touching (starting here the matter then under consideration) shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. So help me God." (or; "I do solemnly affirm.........").

Affidavit or declaration

9. Where witnesses are not required to be orally examined before the House of Assembly, or a committee, an oath, affirmation, declaration or affidavit in writing, which is required to be made or taken by or according to a rule or order of the House of Assembly or committee, and in respect of a matter or thing pending or proceeding before the House of Assembly or committee, may be made and taken before the clerk of the House of Assembly, a commissioner for taking affidavits in the Supreme Court, or a notary public.

False testimony; perjury

10. A person examined before the House of Assembly or a committee, who wilfully gives false testimony on a question material to the subject matter which the House of Assembly or committee is then engaged in investigating or inquiring into, is guilty of the crime of perjury, and, on indictment and conviction before the Supreme Court, is subject to the penalties now attaching to the crime of perjury.

Attendance of witness

11. (1) The House of Assembly may command and compel the attendance before the House of Assembly, or before a committee, of a person, and the production of papers and things that the House of Assembly or committee considers necessary for its proceedings or deliberations.

(2) A person neglecting or refusing to attend, or to produce those papers and things before the House of Assembly or committee, is guilty of a violation of this Act.

(3) A person shall not be liable to produce a paper or document which he or she would not be compelled to produce in a court of justice or from the production of which he or she may be privileged by law.

Infringements of Act

12. The following acts, matters and things are prohibited and constitute infringements of this Act:

(a) assaults upon members of the House of Assembly during a session of the Legislature;

(b) obstructing, threatening, or attempting to force or intimidate members of the House of Assembly;

(c) the refusal or failure of an officer of the House of Assembly, or other person, to obey a rule, order or resolution of the House of Assembly;

(d) the offering to, or acceptance by, a member of a bribe to influence that member in his or her proceedings as a member;

(e) assaults upon, or interference with, the officers of the House of Assembly, while in the execution of their duty;

(f) tampering with a witness in respect of his or her evidence, to be given to the House of Assembly or a committee of the House of Assembly, or directly or indirectly trying to deter or hinder a person from appearing or giving evidence;

(g) presenting to the House of Assembly or to a committee of the House of Assembly a forged or falsified document with intent to deceive the House of Assembly or committee; and

(h) forging, falsifying or unlawfully altering a record of the House of Assembly or of a committee, or a document or petition presented or filed or intended to be presented or filed before the House of Assembly or committee, or the setting or subscribing by a person of the name of another person to a document or petition with intent to deceive.

Immunity from damages

13. (1) A person shall not be liable, in damages or otherwise, for an act done under authority of the House of Assembly and within its legal power, or under a warrant issued under that authority.

(2) A warrant issued under the authority of the House of Assembly may command the assistance of sheriffs, bailiffs, constables and others; and a refusal or failure to give that assistance, when required, shall be an infringement of this Act.

Member acting in place of speaker

14. Where at a time during a session of the House of Assembly a member of the House of Assembly other than the speaker performs the duties and exercises the authority of the speaker, under the Standing Orders or other order or resolution of the House of Assembly

(a) acts done by that member in the proper discharge of those duties shall have the same effect and validity as if they had been done by the speaker; and

(b) Acts passed, orders made and everything done by the House of Assembly while that member is acting as speaker shall be as valid and effectual as if the speaker were in the chair.

Freedom of members from arrest, etc.

15. A member of the House of Assembly shall not be liable to a civil action or prosecution, arrest, imprisonment or damages, because of a matter or thing brought by that member by petition, bill, resolution, motion or otherwise, or said by that member, before the House of Assembly.

Good faith publications

16. It shall be lawful in civil proceedings against a person for printing an extract from, or abstract of a report, paper, vote or proceeding of the House of Assembly, to give evidence under the general issue or denial of the report, paper, votes or proceedings to show that that extract or abstract was published in good faith and without malice; and where that is the opinion of the court, or of the jury, judgment shall be rendered or a verdict shall be entered for the defendant.

Penalty

17. A person violating section 11 or 12 shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $100; and, in default of payment, to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 3 months, during the session of the Legislature then being held, that may be determined by the House of Assembly.

Proceedings; how taken

18. Proceedings for inquiry into a violation of section 11 or 12 shall be had and taken by the House of Assembly or a committee, and the warrant or summons of the speaker or chairperson of the committee shall have the effect of a summons or warrant of a Provincial Court judge.

19. The House of Assembly and the members of the House of Assembly shall hold, enjoy and exercise those and similar privileges, immunities and powers that are now held, enjoyed and exercised by the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada and by the members of that House of Commons.

Schedule

BAIE VERTE - WHITE BAY

(1) The District of Baie Verte - White Bay shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the mouth of the river flowing into the bottom of Middle Arm, Green Bay; then west to its point of intersection with the eastern shoreline of White Bay; then turning and running northerly to its intersection with the 50th parallel of north latitude; then west along the said 50th parallel of north latitude to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the District of St. Barbe; then north 24° east to its intersection with the southern boundary of the District of Strait of Belle Isle; then running along the southern boundary of the District of Strait of Belle Isle south 48° 8' east to its intersection with the centre line of the Main Road leading from Plum Point to Roddickton with the centre line of Northeast Brook, which said brook flows from Coles Pond into Chimney Bay; then running southerly through the centre of said Chimney Bay and Canada Bay to Canada Head on the eastern shoreline of the Northern Peninsula; then running in a straight line to the Middle Bill of Cape St. John; then running in southerly and southwesterly directions along the shoreline of Notre Dame Bay to the point of beginning, together with Gull Island, Horse Islands, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BAY OF ISLANDS

(2) The District of Bay of Islands shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Bluff Head on the westerly shore at Port au Port Bay; then running east to a point being south of the centre of Three Mile Dam on Corner Brook, then running north to said centre of Three Mile Dam; then running west 6.63 kilometres; then running north to the centre of St. Mary's River; then running along the centre of St. Mary's River to its mouth in Humber Arm; then running along the southern shore of the said Humber Arm and the centre of the mouth of the aforesaid Corner Brook; then running north 40° east to the centre of the mouth of Hughes Brook; then running in a straight line in a northeasterly direction to the most easterly point of the bottom of Goose Arm in Bay of Islands; then running north to the southern boundary of the District of St. Barbe; then running west to the centre of the mouth of Gregory River flowing into the Gulf of St. Lawrence near Cape St. George; then running along the shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Bay of Islands and the said Gulf of St. Lawrence to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BELLEVUE

(3) The District of Bellevue shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point south of Deep Bight on the shoreline of North West Arm of Random Sound where 48° 5' of north latitude intersects the said shore; then running along the shoreline of Adeytown, and the south shore of Random Sound in a general easterly direction to Pudding Point; then running along the shore of Random Sound in a general southeasterly direction to Middle Cliff; then running in a straight line to West Random Head; then following the western shoreline of Trinity Bay in general southwesterly, northwesterly, southwesterly and northerly directions to a point on the shore where a line drawn west from a point where the centre line of the Main Highway extending between Greens Harbour and Dildo South intersects the centre line of the road leading in a southwesterly direction to Dildo Cove intersects with the said shore; then running east to said intersection; then running east in the same straight line to its intersection with the western boundary of the District of Port de Grave; then running south 10° west to its intersection with the most northerly point of the District of St. Mary's - The Capes; then west 7.24 kilometres; then running north 4.08 kilometres; then running north 57° west 5.47 kilometres to the intersection of the Placentia Branch with the main line of the Canadian National Railway, excluding Placentia Junction; then running in a general northwesterly direction along the centre line of the right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway to its intersection with the prolongation in an easterly direction of the southern boundary of Jack's Pond Provincial Park; then along said prolongation line, and the said southern boundary of Jack's Pond Provincial Park prolongated westerly to the northwestern angle of the District of Placentia; then along the northern boundary of the District of Burin - Placentia West to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay; then north along said line to its intersection with 48° 5' of north latitude, aforesaid; then east along said 48° 5' of north latitude to its point of beginning; together with Bordeau Island and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BONAVISTA NORTH

(4) The District of Bonavista North shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the North Bill of Cape Freels; then running west astronomically to the 54th meridian of west longitude; then south along the 54th meridian of west longitude to the 49th parallel of north latitude; then west along the 49th parallel of north latitude to its intersection with a line drawn north from the easternmost angle of Gander Lake; then running south to the easternmost angle of Gander Lake; then running along the southern shoreline of Gander Lake to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay; then south along the same straight line to its intersection with the centre of the southern branch of Riverhead Brook flowing into Gambo Pond; then running down Riverhead Brook to its mouth at the western part of Gambo Pond; then following the centre of Gambo Pond and Gambo River to its outlet at Gambo; then following the shoreline of Gambo, Dark Cove, Hare Bay, Indian Bay to Shoe Cove Point; then along the shoreline of Greenspond, Badger's Quay, and Templeman to the North Bill of Cape Freels, being the point of beginning, including all the islands of Greenspond, Silver Fox Island, Lewis Island, Fair Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BONAVISTA SOUTH

(5) The District of Bonavista South shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Cape Bonavista; then running along the shoreline of Lance Cove, Elliston, Little Catalina in a southeasterly direction to Rowland Head; then westerly to its intersection with a line bearing south 15° west from Cape Bonavista; then running south 15° west 3.78 kilometres; then running south 69° west to its intersection with 53° 42' west longitude; then running north along the said 53° 42' of west longitude to its intersection with Sweet Bay at Keefe's Cove; then in a straight line to the point at the western entrance of Sweet Bay; then in a straight line to the point at the eastern entrance of Sweet Bay; then following the shoreline in generally southeasterly and northeasterly directions to its point of beginning; together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BURGEO - BAY D'ESPOIR

(6) The District of Burgeo - Bay d'Espoir shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the meridian of 58° west longitude with the southwest coast near Captain Island; then running north to the intersection of the said meridian of 58° west longitude with the parallel to 48° north latitude; then running east along the said parallel of 48° north latitude to its intersection with the meridian of 57° west longitude; then running north 50° east to the meridian of 56° west longitude; then running east to its intersection with a line drawn south from the northeast angle of the District or Grand Falls, being the northwest angle of the District of Fortune - Hermitage; then running south 85.30 kilometres and then south 70° west to the easterly shore of Bay d'Espoir; then crossing Bay d'Espoir, north of Long Island, in a southwesterly direction to the coast near Pushthrough; then running along the aforesaid southwest coast in a general westerly direction to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

BURIN - PLACENTIA WEST

(7) The District of Burin - Placentia West shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Sauker Head in the westerly shore of Placentia Bay; then running north 25° west 25.75 kilometres; then north 43° east 27.36 kilometres, including the community of Winterland, and then north 37° east 11.27 kilometres, then running north 63° 15' east 11.52 kilometres; then running north 60° east 27.36 kilometres; then north 37° east 12.07 kilometres to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay; then north along the said line 10.72 kilometres, being the southwest angle of the District of Bellevue; then east along the southern boundary of the District of Bellevue to its intersection with the western shoreline of Placentia Bay; then turning and running along the western shore of Placentia Bay in a southwesterly direction to its point of beginning, together with Bar Haven Island, Merasheen Island, Ragged Island, Long Island, Red Island, Isle Valen, Marticot Island, Jude Island, Cross Island, Burin Island, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

CARBONEAR

(8) The District of Carbonear shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Mosquito Point; then running south 69° west to the intersection of the centre lines of the highway extending from Carbonear to Harbour Grace with the centre line of the Saddle Hill Road leading to Bristol's Hope; then running west 12.87 kilometres to the eastern boundary of the District of Trinity - Bay de Verde; then running north 10° east 1.77 kilometres; then running north 28° east to a point where it intersects a line drawn west from Flambro Head; then running east to the said Flambro Head; then running in a southwesterly direction along the aforesaid westerly shoreline of Conception Bay to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

(9) The District of Conception Bay South shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of the centre line of Trans Canada Highway with the centre line of Topsail Road; then running southwesterly along said centre line of Trans Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of Pitts Memorial Drive; then running easterly along said centre line of Pitts Memorial Drive to its intersection with the base line extending from geodetic triangulation station "Simpson" to the geodetic triangulation station "South Base", north of Cochrane Pond; then running southwesterly along said base line to the aforesaid geodetic triangulation station "South Base"; then running south 36° west along the western boundary of the District of Ferryland to its intersection with a straight line drawn south 4° 45' east from the intersection of the centre line of the said Trans Canada Highway, with the centre line of the Foxtrap Access Road; then along said line to the aforesaid intersection of the centre line of said Trans Canada Highway with the centre line of said Foxtrap Access Road; then running along the centre line of Foxtrap Access Road aforesaid, northwesterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Conception Bay Highway; then easterly, along the said centre line of Conception Bay Highway to its intersection with the centre line of Delaney's Road; then running along said centre line of Delaney's Road prolongated northerly to its intersection with the shoreline of Conception Bay; then running along said shoreline of Conception Bay, northeasterly, to its intersection with the mouth of Topsail River at Topsail Beach; then along said centre line of Topsail River to its intersection with the centre line of Topsail Beach Road; then following along said centre line of Topsail Beach Road to its intersection with the centre line of Topsail Road; then easterly along said centre line of Topsail Road to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

EAGLE RIVER

(10) The District of Eagle River shall consist of and include all that part of Labrador bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the boundary of the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland, near Blanc Sablon with the northern shore of the Strait of Belle Isle; then running north along the said boundary to its intersection with the 52nd parallel of north latitude; then running west along the said 52nd parallel of north latitude to its intersection with 59° 40' 30'' of west longitude; then running north for a distance of 167.85 kilometres to its intersection with the southern shoreline of Lake Melville near Kinriakak Point; then running in a general northeasterly direction along the southern shoreline of the said Lake Melville and Hamilton Inlet to Fish Cove Point; then running in general southeasterly, southerly and southwesterly directions along the coastline of Labrador Sea (Atlantic Ocean) and the aforesaid Strait of Belle Isle to the point of beginning, together with Belle Isle, Huntingdon Island, Red Island, Double Island and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

EXPLOITS

(11) The District of Exploits shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the centre line of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way being distant 1.61 kilometres as measured easterly along the said centre line of the right-of-way from the centre of a culvert spanning Corduroy Brook flowing into the Exploits River near Grand Falls; then running north to its intersection with the eastern shoreline of Badger Bay; then running along the shoreline of Badger Bay, the shorelines of Seal Bay, Leading Tickles West, New Bay, Fleury Bight, Western Head, North Head and the western shoreline of Exploits Bay to Phillips Head; then in a straight line in a southwesterly direction to Mill Point, east of the Town of Botwood; then in a straight line in a southeasterly direction to the centre of the bridge spanning Rattling Brook on the Norris Arm - Bishop's Falls Road; then running along the centre line of Rattling Brook in a general southerly direction to its intersection with the prolongation in a westerly direction of the District of Gander; then east along said prolongation to the northwest angle of the District of Gander; then running south to the southwestern angle of the District of Gander; then running west to the southeast angle of the District of Grand Falls; then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Grand Falls to its intersection on the northern bank of the Exploits River with the Town of Grand Falls Municipal Planning Area Boundary (Newfoundland Regulation 22, 1980); then following the said boundary generally eastward, northeastward and northwesterly to the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway (Route 1); then following the said Trans Canada Highway easterly to the intersection of the centre lines of the Trans Canada Highway and the said right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway; then westerly along the centre of the said right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway; to the point of beginning, including Cull Island, Strong Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

FERRYLAND

(12) The District of Ferryland shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the geodetic triangulation station South Base north of Cochrane Pond; then running south 34° east to the centre of Cochrane Pond Brook in a general southeasterly direction crossing the southern shore highway at Ryan's Bridge to Third Pond; then in general easterly and northeasterly directions following the waters of the said Third Pond and the waters of Second Pond and First Pond to the Gorge; then following the centre of said Gorge to its intersection with the boundary of the Local Improvement District of Petty Harbour (No. 1) Order 1969; then following the said boundary in northerly, easterly, and southeasterly directions to the northern shoreline of Petty Harbour, north of Mad Rock; then running in general easterly and southeasterly directions along the shoreline of Petty Harbour and the shoreline of Motion Bay to Motion Head; then running along the east coast of the Avalon Peninsula in a general southerly direction to its intersection with a line drawn from the southernmost angle of the District of Harbour Main and bearing south 15° east; then running north 15° west along said line to the most southerly angle of the District of Harbour Main; then running north 36° east to geodetic triangulation station South Base being the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

FOGO

(13) The District of Fogo shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the North Bill of Cape Freels; then running west to the 54th meridian of west longitude; then south along the 54th meridian of west longitude to the 49th parallel of north latitude; then west along the 49th parallel of north latitude to a point being the intersection of a line being drawn north from the easternmost angle of Gander Lake; then running north 7.24 kilometres; then running west to the centre line of the Gander Bay Road; then north to the centre of the mouth of the brook running into the bottom of Dog Bay; then running east to its intersection with the shore of Gander Bay; then running in a straight line to the westernmost point of Western Indian Island; then running north for a distance of 38.86 kilometres; then running east to its intersection with the 54th meridian of west longitude; then running in a straight line to the North Bill of Cape Freels, being the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

FORTUNE - HERMITAGE

(14) The District of Fortune - Hermitage shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay and the southwesterly angle of the District of Bellevue, the said point being also the northwesterly angle of the District of Burin - Placentia West; then running north along said line drawn from the bottom of Dog Bay to the southeast angle of the District of Gander; then running west along the southern boundaries of the District of Gander and the District of Exploits to the southwest angle of the said District of Exploits for a distance of 78.05 kilometres; then running south 85.30 kilometres; and then running south 70° west to the easterly shore of Bay d'Espoir; then running along the eastern shoreline of Bay d'Espoir and the northern shoreline of Long Island to its westernmost point; then running along the shoreline of Hermitage Bay and the shoreline of Fortune Bay in general easterly and southwesterly directions to a point on the eastern shoreline of Fortune Bay, which is the northwest angle of the District of Grand Bank; then running east to its intersection with the western boundary of the District of Burin - Placentia West; then running along the said western boundary of the District of Burin - Placentia West north 63° 15' east 11.52 kilometres; then running north 60° east 27.36 kilometres; then running north 37° east 12.07 kilometres to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay; then north along said line 10.72 kilometres; to the point of beginning, together with Brunette Island, Long Island, and Sagona Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearing being astronomic.

GANDER

(15) The District of Gander shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the easternmost angle of Gander Lake; then along the southern shore of Gander Lake in a general westerly direction to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay, being the western boundary of the District of Bonavista North; then south along the boundary of the District of Bonavista North and the boundary of the District of Terra Nova 37 kilometres; then west 53.91 kilometres to the southeast angle of the District of Exploits; then north along the said boundary of the District of Exploits 57.13 kilometres to the southern boundary of the District of Lewisporte near the mouth of Rattling Brook in the Bay of Exploits; then east along the boundary of the said District of Lewisporte and the boundary of the District of Fogo 69.20 kilometres; then south along the said boundary of the District of Fogo and the aforesaid boundary of the District of Bonavista North to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

GRAND BANK

(16) The District of Grand Bank shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Sauker Head in the westerly shore of Placentia Bay; then running north 25° west 25.75 kilometres and then north 43° east 27.36 kilometres and then north 37° east 11.27 kilometres; then running west to the easterly shore of Fortune Bay; then running along the coastline of the Burin Peninsula in generally southwesterly and easterly directions to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

GRAND FALLS

(17) The District of Grand Falls shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the centre of the Canadian National Railway distant 1.61 kilometres east measured along the said railway from the centre of a culvert over Corduroy Brook flowing into the Exploits River near Grand Falls; then running along the centre of the said right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway in a general westerly direction to its intersection with the 56th meridian of west longitude; then running south along the said 56th meridian of west longitude to its intersection with a line bearing north 50° east from the point of intersection on the 57th meridian of west longitude with the 48th parallel of north latitude; then east to the intersection of a line drawn south from a point 1.61 kilometres east along the Canadian National Railway from the centre of a culvert over Corduroy Brook flowing into the Exploits River near Grand Falls; then north to its intersection on the northern bank of the Exploits River with the Town of Grand Falls Municipal Planning Area Boundary (Newfoundland Regulation 22, 1980); then following the said boundary generally eastward, northeastward and northwesterly to the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway (Route 1); then following the said Trans Canada Highway easterly to the intersection of the centre lines of the Trans Canada Highway and the said right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway; then westerly along the centre of the said right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

GREEN BAY

(18) The District of Green Bay shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the mouth of the river flowing into the bottom of Middle Arm, Green Bay; then west 8.85 kilometres; then south 49° west 16.57 kilometres; then south 25° west 28.16 kilometres to the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway; then south 16.09 kilometres; then east to its intersection with a line drawn north from a point in the centre line of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way distant 1.06 kilometres as measured easterly along the centre line of the said right-of-way from the centre of a culvert spanning Corduroy Brook flowing into the Exploits River near Grand Falls; then north along the said line to the eastern shore of Badger Bay; then following the shorelines of Badger Bay, Robert's Arm, Hall's Bay, Little Harbour, Harry's Harbour, and the shoreline of South West Arm and Middle Arm of Green Bay in a general northwesterly direction to its point of beginning, together with Triton Island, Pilley's Island, Gull Island, Sunday Cove Island, Long Island, and Little Bay Islands, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

HARBOUR GRACE

(19) The District of Harbour Grace shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Mosquito Point; then running in a straight line south 69° west to the intersection of the centre line of the highroad extending from Carbonear to Harbour Grace with the centre line of Saddle Hill Road extending from the highroad to Bristol's Hope; then running west 12.87 kilometres to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the District of Trinity - Bay de Verde; then running by the eastern boundary of the said District of Bay de Verde, south 10° west to its intersection with a line drawn west from the centre of the railway bridge at the bottom of Spaniard's Bay and being north of the intersection of the Conception Bay Highway and the Bay Roberts - Shearstown Road; then east along said line to the centre line of the said railway bridge; then in a straight line in a general northeasterly direction to the shoreline of Spaniard's Bay; then running along the shoreline of Spaniard's Bay to Haypook; then running along the shore of Harbour Grace in general southwesterly and northwesterly directions to Old Sow Point; then running along the shore of Bristol's Hope Cove to the point of beginning, together with Harbour Grace Islands and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

HARBOUR MAIN

(21) The District of Humber East shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the centre of Three Mile Dam on Corner Brook; then running by the District of Humber Valley, due east 31 kilometres; then running due north 19 kilometres; then running due west 5 kilometres to a point on the eastern shoreline of Deer Lake; then running in general southwesterly, northwesterly and westerly directions along the easterly shoreline of Deer Lake, the southern shoreline of Humber River, and the southern shoreline of Humber Arm to the centre of Corner Brook at its mouth in said Humber Arm; then running along the centre of Corner Brook in a general southeasterly direction to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

HUMBER VALLEY

(23) The District of Humber West shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the centre of Three Mile Dam on Corner Brook; then running west 6.63 kilometres; then running north to St. Mary's River; then running along the centre of the said St. Mary's River in a general northerly direction to its mouth in Humber Arm; then running in a general easterly direction along the southern shore of Humber Arm to the centre of the mouth of the aforesaid Corner Brook; then following the centre of the said Corner Brook in a general southeasterly direction to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

(25) The District of La Poile shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the meridian of 58° west longitude with the southwest coast near Captain Island; then running north to the intersection of the said meridian of 58° west longitude with the parallel of 48° north latitude; then west along the said parallel of 48° north latitude 61.15 kilometres; then running in a straight line in a southwesterly direction to Cape Ray including the village of Cape Ray; then following the coastline in a general easterly direction to the point of beginning, together with all the islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

LEWISPORTE

(27) The District of Menihek shall consist of and include all that part of Labrador bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the boundary extending between the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland with the meridian of 65° west longitude near Lake Fleur-de-May; then running north along the said meridian of 65° west longitude to a point in the aforesaid boundary extending between the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland; then following the said boundary in general westerly and southeasterly directions to the point of beginning.

MOUNT PEARL

(30) The District of Naskaupi shall consist of and include all that part of Labrador bounded as follows: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the 52nd parallel with 59° 40' 30'' west longitude; then running north 187.85 kilometres to its intersection with the southern shore of Lake Melville, near Kinriakak Point; then north 33° 30'' west to its intersection with the boundary between the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland; then running in general southerly and westerly directions along the boundary to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the District of Menihek; then south along the eastern boundary of the District of Menihek to its intersection with the boundary of the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland, near Lake Fleur-de-May; then along the boundary between the Province of Newfoundland and the Province of Quebec to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

(33) The District of Port au Port shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the northern shoreline of Bay St. George at the mouth of Gaddon's Brook; then running along the said northern shoreline of Bay St. George and the shoreline of Port au Port Peninsula in general westerly and northeasterly directions to Long Point; then continuing along the shoreline of Port au Port Bay to Bluff Head at the southwest angle of the District of Bay of Islands; then running east 10.46 kilometres; then running south to the northern boundary of the District of Stephenville; then running west to the centre of Romaines River; then south to the intersection of the centre of Gaddon's Brook with the centre line of the transmission line right-of-way extending between Romaines and Stephenville; then following the said centre of Gaddon's Brook in a general southerly direction to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

PORT DE GRAVE

(34) The District of Port de Grave shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the mouth of the river emptying into Marysvale, Colliers Bay; then running along the centre line of the said river to the outlet of Three Island Pond; then running along the centre line of Three Island Pond to the mouth of the river flowing into it; then running along the centre line of the river flowing into Three Island Pond to Turks Gut Long Pond; then running along the centre line of Turks Gut Long Pond to the head thereof; then running south 79° west about 16.09 kilometres to the eastern boundary of the District of Bellevue; then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Bellevue north 10° east to the southwestern angle of the District of Harbour Grace; then running east along the southern boundary of the District of Harbour Grace to the centre of the railway bridge at the bottom of Spaniard's Bay being north of the intersection of the centre line of the Conception Bay Highway with the Bay Roberts - Shearstown Road; then running in a general northeast direction to the shoreline; then running along the southern shoreline of Spaniard's Bay, continuing along the shoreline of Bay Roberts, Clarke's Beach, Cupids, and Brigus in a general southeasterly direction to the point of beginning together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

ST. BARBE

(35) The District of St. Barbe shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the easterly shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle, opposite Seal Islands, and lying between the communities of Bear Cove and Flowers Cove; then running along the southerly boundary of the District of Strait of Belle Isle south 48° 8' east 35 kilometres; then turning and running south 24° west 206.5 kilometres to its intersection with a line drawn east from the centre of the mouth of the Gregory River flowing into the Gulf of St. Lawrence; then west along said line to the mouth of said Gregory River; then in a northeasterly direction along the western coastline of the Northern Peninsula to the point of beginning, together with Old Ferolle Island, St. John Island, Flat Island, Keppel Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

ST. GEORGE'S

(36) The District of St. George's shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the north shore of Bay St. George, the said point being distant 121.92 metres as measured in a westerly direction along the said shore from the lighthouse at Indian Head; then running north 44° 7' 31'' east 3.76 kilometres; then running north 20° 12' east 2.36 kilometres; then running north to the southern boundary of Bay of Islands; then running east along the said boundary to its intersection with the meridian of 58° west longitude; then running south along the said meridian to its intersection with the parallel of 48° north latitude; then running west along the said parallel a distance of 61.15 kilometres; then running in a southwesterly direction to Cape Ray, excluding the village of Cape Ray; then following the coastline in general northerly, northeasterly and northwesterly directions to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

ST. JOHN'S CENTRE

(37) The District of St. John's Centre shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centre line of Springdale Street with the centre line of LeMarchant Road; then running along the centre line of said LeMarchant Road to its intersection with the centre line of Cookstown Road; then running along said centre line of Cookstown Road, Freshwater Road, and Linscott Street to its intersection with the centre line of Merrymeeting Road; then southwesterly along the centre line of Merrymeeting Road to its intersection with the centre line of Rankin Street; then along the centre line of Rankin Street, Calver Avenue, and Malta Street to its intersection with the centre line of Empire Avenue; then northeasterly along the centre line of Empire Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Newtown Road; then northwesterly along the centre line of Newtown Road, the centre line of Elizabeth Avenue, and the centre line of Westerland Road to its intersection with the centre line of Prince Philip Drive; then northeasterly along said centre line of Prince Philip Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Higgins Line; then along the centre line of Higgins Line to its intersection with the centre line of London Road; then along the centre line of London Road northeasterly to its intersection with the centre line of Portugal Cove Road; then southeasterly along the centre lines of Portugal Cove Road and New Cove Road, to its intersection with the centre line of the northern entrance to Tunis Court; then along said centre line of the northern entrance of Tunis Court to its intersection with the centre line of Montgomery Street; then running along said centre line of Montgomery Street to its intersection with the centre line of Torbay Road; then running southerly, along the centre line of Torbay Road, Kennas Hill Road, and King's Bridge Road to its intersection with the centre line of Empire Avenue; then following the said centre line of Empire Avenue in a westerly direction to the path leading to Circular Road where it turns in a southerly direction leading to Bonaventure Avenue; then in a continuing line along the centre lines of the said path, the said Circular Road, the said Bonaventure Avenue, Garrison Hill, Queen's Road, Church Hill, Henry Street, Bell Street, Duckworth Street, McBride's Hill, to Ayre's Cove; then following the centre line of Ayre's Cove prolongated to the centre of St. John's Harbour; then following the centre line of St. John's Harbour southwesterly, to its intersection with the prolongation of the centre line of Springdale Street, then following the said prolongation of Springdale Street northwesterly to the point of beginning.

ST. JOHN'S EAST

(38) The District of St. John's East shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centre line of Empire Avenue with the centre line of King's Bridge Road; then following the said centre line of Empire Avenue in a westerly direction to the path leading to Circular Road where it turns in a southerly direction leading to Bonaventure Avenue; then in a continuing line along the centre line of the said path, the said Circular Road, the said Bonaventure Avenue, Garrison Hill, Queen's Road, Church Hill, Henry Street, Bell Street, Duckworth Street, and McBride's Hill to Ayre's Cove; then following the centre line of the said Ayre's Cove and the southeasterly prolongation of the said centre line to the centre line of St. John's Harbour; then following the said centre line of St. John's Harbour to the St. John's Municipal Boundary (1973) extending between South Head and North Head; then following the said boundary along the coast of St. John's Bay and Quidi Vidi Harbour to the mouth of the river flowing from Quidi Vidi Lake into Quidi Vidi Harbour; then following the centre line of East White Hills Road, northerly, to its intersection with the centre line of Newfoundland Drive; then southwesterly along said centre lines of Newfoundland Drive, and Charter Avenue to its intersection with the centre of Virginia River; then following the centre of Virginia River, northerly, to its intersection with the centre line of Logy Bay Road; then following the said centre line of Logy Bay Road, southwesterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Hutton Road; then following the said centre line of Hutton Road and the centre line of Ennis Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Slattery Road; then westerly along said centre line of Slattery Road to its intersection with the centre line of Torbay Road; then southerly along said centre line of Torbay Road to its intersection with the centre line of Elizabeth Avenue; then westerly along said centre line of Elizabeth Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of New Cove Road; then following the centre line of New Cove Road, southerly, to its intersection with the northern entrance to Tunis Court; then easterly following said centre line of the northern entrance to Tunis Court and Montgomery Street to its intersection with the aforesaid centre line of Torbay Road; then southerly, following the aforesaid centre line of Torbay Road to its intersection with Kennas Hill Road; then, southerly, along the centre line of said Kennas Hill Road and the aforementioned centre line of King's Bridge Road to the point of beginning.

ST. JOHN'S EAST (EXTERN)

(39) The District of St. John's East (Extern) shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Cape St. Francis; then running along the eastern shoreline of the Avalon Peninsula in a general southeasterly direction to the mouth of the river flowing from Quidi Vidi Lake into Quidi Vidi Harbour; then following the centre line of East White Hills Road, northerly to its intersection with the centre line of Harding Road; then following the centre line of Harding Road to its intersection with the centre line of Logy Bay Road; then following the aforesaid centre line of Logy Bay Road, southwesterly, to its intersection of the centre line of Newfoundland Drive; then following the centre line of Newfoundland Drive, northwesterly, to its intersection of the centre line of Virginia River; then along said centre line of Virginia River, northerly and northwesterly, to its mouth at the southern shoreline of Virginia Lake; then following along said southern shoreline of Virginia Lake, westerly, to the mouth of Druken's Brook; then following the centre of Druken's Brook, westerly, to its intersection with the centre line of Gleneyre Street; then along said centre line of Gleneyre Street, southwesterly to its intersection with the centre line of Torbay Road; then following along the aforesaid centre line of Torbay Road, and the centre line of Major's Path to intersect with the centre line of Airport Road; then southwesterly along said centre line of Airport Road and McNiven Place prolongated to intersect with the easternmost boundary of the District of Mount Scio - Bell Island; then following the easterly boundary of the District of Mount Scio - Bell Island north 36° 40' west to the intersection of the centre line of Portugal Cove Road with the centre of the brook flowing from Newfound Pond into Winsor Lake; then from the aforesaid intersection north 45° west to geodetic station "Snelgrove"; then north 58° west 2.93 kilometres to the intersection of the centre line of Olympic Road with the centre line of Indian Meal Line; then, southwest, along the centre line of said Indian Meal Line for a distance of 290 metres; then north 64° west 0.84 kilometres to intersect with the centre of Millers Pond River with the centre line of Bauline Line; then, northwesterly, along said centre of Millers Pond River to its mouth at Clements Pond; then north 64° 50' west to the mouth of Northeast Pond River on the southern end of a small pond which pond is situate immediately south of Northeast Pond; then running west 1.73 kilometres to a point on the eastern shoreline of Conception Bay; then running along said eastern shoreline in a northerly direction to Cape St. Francis; being the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

ST. JOHN'S NORTH

(40) The District of St. John's North shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centre lines of Empire Avenue, and Newtown Road; then, southwesterly, along said centre line of Empire Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Columbus Drive; then, southerly, following along said centre line of Columbus Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Mundy Pond Road; then, southwesterly, along said centre line of Mundy Pond Road to its intersection with the centre line of Blackmarsh Road; then, southwesterly along said centre line of Blackmarsh Road to its intersection with the St. John's Municipal Boundary (1973); then following said St. John's Municipal Boundary (1973), northwesterly and northeasterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Thorburn Road; then following said centre line of Thorburn Road, easterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Groves Road; then following said centre line of Groves Road, northwesterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Mount Scio Road; then following along said centre line of Mount Scio, northeasterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Nagles Hill Road; then following the centre line of said Nagles Hill Road, Higgins Line, Prince Philip Drive, Westerland Road, Elizabeth Avenue, and the aforementioned centre line of Newtown Road to the point of beginning.

ST. JOHN'S SOUTH

(41) The District of St. John's South shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of centre line of LeMarchant Road with the centre line of Springdale Street; then running along the said centre line of Springdale Street and the easterly prolongation of the said centre line to a centre line of St. John's Harbour; then following the said centre line of St. John's Harbour to its intersection with the St. John's Municipal Boundary (1973) extending between North Head and South Head; then along said St. John's Municipal Boundary (1973) southwesterly, to its intersection with the shoreline at South Head; then along the shoreline, southerly, to the centre line of the mouth of Leamys Brook flowing into Freshwater Bay; then along said centre line of Leamys Brook, southerly, to its intersection with the centre line of Blackhead Road; then north 41° 30' west to the mouth of the brook flowing from Beaver Pond to Waterford River; then following along said brook flowing from said Beaver Pond to Waterford River; then following said Waterford River, northeasterly, to centre of Syme's Bridge; then from the centre of Syme's Bridge following along the centre line of Syme's Bridge Road to the centre line of Waterford Bridge Road; then following the said centre line of Waterford Bridge Road, southwesterly, to intersect with the centre line of Tessier's Lane; then along the said centre line of Tessier's Lane to its intersection with the centre line of Topsail Road; then following the centre lines of said Topsail Road, Cornwall Avenue, James Lane, Mercers Lane, Blackmarsh Road and Hamilton Avenue to the intersection of the centre line of the aforesaid Cornwall Avenue; then along the aforesaid centre line of Cornwall Avenue and the aforementioned centre line of LeMarchant Road to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

ST. JOHN'S WEST

(42) The District of St. John's West shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of Cookstown Road with the centre line of LeMarchant Road; then running along the centre line of LeMarchant Road in a westerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Hamilton Avenue; then along the centre line of Hamilton Avenue in a westerly direction to centre line of Blackmarsh Road; then following the said centre line of Blackmarsh Road, southwesterly, to its intersection with the centre line of Mercers Lane; then following the centre line of Mercers Lane, James Lane, Topsail Road, Forbes Street, Kennedy Place and the centre line of Boggy Haul Road, to intersect with the centre line of Columbus Drive; then, northerly, along said centre line of Columbus Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Empire Avenue; then, northeasterly, following said centre line of Empire Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Malta Street; then following the centre lines of said Malta Street, Calver Avenue, Rankin Street, Merrymeeting Road, Linscott Street, Freshwater Road, and the aforementioned centre line of Cookstown Road to the point of beginning.

ST. MARY'S - THE CAPES

(43) The District of St. Mary's - The Capes shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point being the easternmost point of the District of Placentia; then running along the southern boundary of the District of Harbour Main south 57° east 29.77 kilometres; then running along the western boundary of the District of Ferryland south 15° east to its intersection with the eastern shoreline of the Avalon Peninsula south of Frenchman's Cove; then running along the shoreline of Cape Race and Trepassey Bay in general southerly, northwesterly and westerly directions to Cape Pine; then continuing along the shoreline of St. Mary's Bay in general northerly, northwesterly, and southwesterly directions to Point Lance; then continuing along the shore of Point Lance, Cape St. Mary's, and the eastern shore of Placentia Bay to its intersection with 47° 12' of north latitude, being north of Little Barrisway; then east along the said 47° 12' of north latitude to its intersection with a line drawn from Cape St. Mary's to the easternmost point of the District of Placentia and bearing north 44° east; then continuing along the same straight line running north 44° east, along the eastern boundary of the District of Placentia, to its point of beginning, together with Little Colinet Island, Great Colinet Island, Pinchgut Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

STEPHENVILLE

(44) The District of Stephenville shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the north shore of Bay St. George at the mouth of Gaddons Brook; then following the centre of Gaddons Brook to its intersection with the centre line of the transmission line right-of-way extending between Romaines and Stephenville; then continuing along a line north to its intersection with Romaines Brook; then running east to the boundary of the District of St. George's; then following the said boundary in a general southerly direction to a point in the aforesaid northerly shore of Bay St. George being 121.92 metres as measured in a westerly direction along the said northerly shore from the lighthouse at Indian Head; then running along the said northerly shore of St. George's Bay to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

STRAIT OF BELLE ISLE

(45) The District of the Strait of Belle Isle shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of the centre line of the Main Road leading from Plum Point to Roddickton with the centre line of Northeast Brook, which said brook flows from Coles Pond into Chimney Bay; then running southerly through the centre of said Chimney Bay and Canada Bay to the point of land extending into Canada Bay, south of Englee; then in a general northeasterly direction following the eastern shoreline of the Northern Peninsula to Maiden Point; then following the shoreline in general westerly, northwesterly and easterly directions around the shore of Hare Bay to Lobster Point; then following the shoreline in a general northerly direction, then westerly and northerly to Cape Norman; then following the southeasterly shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle, southwesterly, to a point opposite the Seal Islands, lying between Flowers Cove and Bear Cove; then running by the northerly boundaries of the District of St. Barge and the District of Baie Verte - White Bay south 48° 8' east 60 kilometres to the point of beginning, together with Grey Islands, Fishot Island, Brent Islands, Quirpon Island, Green Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

TERRA NOVA

(46) The District of Terra Nova shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at the bottom of Keefe's Cove on the south side of North West Arm at Sweet Bay where 53° 42' west longitude intersects the said shore; then running south along 53° 42' west longitude 8.06 kilometres; then turning and running south 69° west to its intersection with the centre line of the Bonavista Branch of the Canadian National Railway; then west to its intersection with a line drawn south astronomically from the southernmost point of Dog Bay; then running north to the southwestern angle of the District of Bonavista North; then following the southern boundary of Bonavista North in a general northeastern direction to its intersection with the shoreline at Gambo; then running in a northeasterly direction along the shoreline of Freshwater Bay, continuing through Lockers Reach to the easternmost point of Offer Gooseberry Island; then in a straight line to the point at the western entrance of Sweet Bay; then in a straight line to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.

TORNGAT MOUNTAINS

(47) The District of Torngat Mountains shall consist of and include all that part of Labrador bounded as follows: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the southern shore of Lake Melville, near Kinriakak Point, with 59° 40' 30'' west longitude; then running north 33° 30'' west to its intersection with the boundary between the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland; then running along the said boundary in a general northerly direction to Cape Chidley; then running in general southeasterly and southerly directions along the coastline of Labrador Sea (Atlantic Ocean) to its easternmost point south of Holton Harbour; then southerly in a straight line to Fish Cove Point on the southern shore of Hamilton Inlet; then running in a general southwesterly direction along the southern shore of the said Hamilton Inlet and Lake Melville to the point of beginning, including Haines Island, Henrietta Island, George Island, and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

TRINITY - BAY DE VERDE

(48) The District of Trinity - Bay de Verde shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the seashore of the eastern side of Trinity Bay, north of Dildo, where a line extending from the crossing of the Dildo - Greens Harbour Road and the road to Dildo Cove intersects the shore; then east to the said intersection and then in same straight line east to its intersection with the western boundary of the District of Port de Grave; then running along the western boundaries of the Districts of Port de Grave and Harbour Grace to the northwest angle of the District of Harbour Grace; then north 10° east 1.77 kilometres, then north 28° east to its intersection with a line drawn west from Flambro Head; then running east along said line to Flambro Head; then running along the shore of Conception Bay in general northeasterly and northwesterly directions to Grates Point; then running along the eastern shoreline of Trinity Bay in a generally southwesterly direction to its point of beginning, including Baccalieu Islands and all other islands adjacent thereto; all bearings being astronomic.

TRINITY NORTH

(49) The District of Trinity North shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at Rowland Head, the southernmost point at the western entrance of Little Catalina Harbour; then running westerly to its intersection with a line bearing south 15° west from Cape Bonavista; then running in a same straight line south 15° west 3.78 kilometres; then running south 69° west 61.96 kilometres to its intersection with the centre line of the Bonavista Branch of the Canadian National Railway; then running west to its intersection with a line drawn south from the bottom of Dog Bay; then running south to its intersection with 48° 5' of north latitude; then running east along the 48° 5' of north latitude to its intersection with the shoreline at a point south of Deep Bight; then running along the western shore of North West Arm and Random Sound in a general northerly direction, the north shore of Smith Sound in a general easterly direction and the western shore of Trinity Bay in a general northeasterly direction to the point of beginning, together with Random Island, Ireland's Eye, and all other islands adjacent to the shoreline and to the shoreline of Random Island; all bearings being astronomic.

TWILLINGATE

(50) The District of Twillingate shall consist of and include the islands of Twillingate and New World Island and the following adjacent islands: Salt Harbour Island, Ship Cove Island, Strong's Island, Trump Island, Black Island, Cottle's Island, and Bacalhao Island.

WATERFORD - KENMOUNT

(52) The District of Windsor - Buchans shall consist of and include all that part of the Island of Newfoundland bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the centre line of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way being distant 1.61 kilometres kilometre as measured easterly along the said centre line of the right-of-way from the centre of a culvert spanning Corduroy Brook flowing into the Exploits River near Grand Falls; then running north 30.58 kilometres to the southeast angle of the District of Green Bay; then running west 13.41 kilometres along the southern boundary of the District of Green Bay to the eastern boundary of the District of Humber Valley; then running south to the point of intersection with the 49th parallel; then running west along the said 49th parallel to its intersection with the 57th meridian of west longitude north of Hinds Lake; then running south along the said 57th meridian of west longitude to its intersection with 48° 45' of north latitude; then south 50° west to its intersection with 58° of west longitude; then south along said meridian 27.68 kilometres to its intersection with 48th parallel of north latitude; then running east to its intersection with 57° west longitude; then north 50° east to its intersection with the meridian of 56° west longitude; then running north along said meridian of 56° west longitude, being the western boundary of the District of Grand Falls, to its intersection with the centre line of the right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway; then along the said centre line of the right-of-way of the Canadian National Railway in a general easterly direction to the point of beginning; all bearings being astronomic.
