Page Program

Duties & Responsibilities

Pages are hired to work in the House of Assembly to provide assistance to Members, Table Officers and staff of the Legislature when it is in session.


Applicants to the Page Program must:

  1. Be registered full-time at a post-secondary institution;
  2. Be available to work in the afternoons (Monday to Thursday). Occasional morning and/or evening shifts may be required – see note below;
  3. Be available to work for the entire session(s) for which they are hired.

Term of Employment

Pages are employed during the fall and spring sessions of the House of Assembly (dates will vary).

Hours of Work

When the Legislature is in session, it sits:

Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday: 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Note: Pages may occasionally be required to work mornings or evenings when there are Committee meetings or night sittings of the House of Assembly. Pages will be notified as far in advance as possible.
